Checking Ink Status a Windows PC
You can check the remaining ink level and the ink tank types for your printer.

Open the printer driver setup window.

On the Maintenance tab, click View Printer Status.
The Canon IJ Status Monitor opens.

For Estimated ink levels, click 
(the disclosure triangle) to display an image representation of the ink status.
The information displayed on the Canon IJ Status Monitor may differ depending on the country or region where you are using your printer.
When you print on A3 paper or larger paper sizes, the ink may run out before printing is finished or the printing may become faint or streaky (with white lines).
