Print a Nozzle Check Pattern from a Windows PC - PRO-300

Description

This article will show you how to print a nozzle check pattern for the imagePROGRAF PRO-300 from a Windows PC. If you're experiencing poor print quality (streaked / banded prints, tinted prints, blank pages, etc.), you can print a nozzle check to determine if any print head nozzles are clogged.

Solution

The Nozzle Check function allows you to check whether the print head is working properly by printing a Nozzle Check pattern.

To print this pattern, follow the steps below.

Nozzle Check

  1. Open the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

  2. Click Nozzle Check.

    Click Nozzle Check (outlined in red)

    The Nozzle Check dialog box opens.

    Click Initial Check Items to display the items that you need to check before printing the Nozzle Check pattern.

  3. Load one sheet of A4 size plain paper into the top feed.

  4. Check that the printer is on and then click Print Check Pattern.
    The Nozzle Check pattern will be printed.

    Click OK when the confirmation message appears.
    The Pattern Check dialog box opens.

  5. Check the print result. If the print result is normal, click Exit.

    If the print result is smudged or if there are any unprinted sections, click Cleaning to clean the print head.
