Learn how to correct the media information in the Mac printer driver for the imagePROGRAF PRO-300 when using it in a shared environment.

Solution

If new media types have been added to the printer and the printer is used on a network, you may need to correct the media type configurations in the printer driver..

Follow the steps below.

  1. From the Canon IJ Printer Utility pop-up menu, select Media Information

  2. Click Correct Media Information.
    After checking whether or not the printer driver's media information is correct, a message will be displayed.
    If the printer media information is set correctly, click OK.
    If the information needs to be corrected, follow the below steps to do so:

  3. When a confirmation message appears, click OK.
    The printer driver media information will be corrected.
    When the authentication screen appears, enter the administrator's name and password, and then click Install Helper.

  4. When a confirmation message appears, click OK.
    The media information will be corrected.

 Restart the application or software you are printing from after correcting media information.

 Media Information will only be displayed on the client machine in use when the printer is being shared.
