**Instructions in this article are for setup on a Mac computer.  If setting up on Windows, click here for instructions

To be able to use the PIXMA TS series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Mac computer, the printer must first be connected to the wireless network and software drivers and applications installed on the computer.  The instructions / screenshots below show the setup program steps  when using the Easy wireless connect method to connect to the wireless network.

The setup process consists of 2 parts: 

  1. Starting the Easy wireless connect process on the printer, and

  2. Downloading and running the setup file to install the drivers and software.

 

Start Easy wireless connect on the printer.

Prior to starting setup on the computer, start the Easy wireless connect process on the printer. Then complete the setup on the computer.
See the procedure below to start Easy wireless connect.

  1. Press and hold the  Wireless connect button until Processing.... appears. Release the button.

Download and run the setup file.*

Get the Setup File

Click Setup icon in the Dock, follow the on-screen instructions to proceed with setup.

  1. Click Next.

  2. Enter your computer's password and click Install Helper.

  3. Click Start Setup.

  4. Click Next.

    The installer will acquire information on the latest software for your printer. This may take a few moments.

  5. Click Yes on the License Agreement. If you click No, the installer will not proceed.

  6. Select Do not agree or Agree.

    If Do not agree was selected, the following information appears.  Click OK.

    The installer will process for a few moments.

  7. Click Yes on the Check the Connection Method screen.

    Click Yes (outlined in red) to proceed

    Your computer's wireless network connection will be temporarily disabled.

  8. Select Allow on the keychain message.

    Click Allow (outlined in red) to proceed

  9. ** Depending on your network setup, the following screens may appear.  Be sure to select an SSID (network) in the dropdown list running on the 2.4Ghz frequency. If not sure, check with your router's documentation.  After selecting the SSID, enter the password in the next screen

    Select your network from the Network Name (SSID) dropdown list, then click Next (outlined in red)

    Enter your network password into the field provided, then click Next (outlined in red)

  10. Click Next on Connection completed.

    Click Next (outlined in red) to proceed

     If the printer is not detected, make sure that your computer has reconnected to your wireless network. Also, temporarily disable any firewall software if possible. If you are connected to a VPN (Virtual Private Network), temporarily disconnect from the VPN and try again.

  11. The installer will download and install IJ Scan Utility for your printer. This may take a few minutes.

  12. When this screen appears, click Add Printer.

  13. Select your printer series with Bonjour Multifunction listed in the Kind column and click Add.

  14. Click Next.

  15. After the installer processes for a few moments, click Next.

  16. Click Continue online. The installer will close.
