Description

Learn how to resolve a Printer Not Responding message on a PIXMA MX432 / MX439 connected wirelessly.

Solution

If you get a Printer not responding error on your wireless printer, check the following:

  • Are the computer and wireless router connected?
If not, restart the computer and try to print again.

  • Are the router and printer connected?
If not, restart the router and printer to restore communication.
Also, the wireless printer detects all nearby routers. If the wrong router is selected, you can change it.

  • Did you replace your wireless router?
If so, your printer will need to be connected to the new router.
There are several ways to reconnect the printer to the network.
  1. You can use the operation panel to select your new wireless router and enter in its password.

  2. If your router has a WPS push button on it, you can use the printer to connect to the router with that button.

  3. If you're using a Mac and you have a USB cable, you can temporarily connect the printer to your Mac and use the IJ Network Tool to reconfigure the printer.
