If you have a paper that is not a standard size that's supported by your printer (such as a 3 x 5 card), you'll need to specify a custom paper size on your computer. Here's how to do it.
-
After opening the item that you want to print, open the Print dialog by selecting Print... from the File menu.
-
You'll see the paper size currently selected. Click this, then select Manage Custom Sizes....
-
A new dialog will appear. Click the plus (+) sign to add a new custom size.
-
Specify the Width and Height for the size of the paper you're using. Also, after clicking the plus (+) sign in step 2, you'll see Untitled appear as the name of the custom size. Click Untitled to specify a name for your custom size. After specifying the name and size, click OK.
When creating a custom paper size, please note that you'll need to load this into the rear tray. The paper sizes you can specify are as follows:
Minimum size: 2.17 x 3.51 in. (55.0 x 89.0 mm)
Maximum size: 8.50 x 26.61 in. (215.9 x 676.0 mm)
-
Your new custom size will be selected. You can specify this size when printing in the future.
If you specify a custom paper size and you experience an error indicating that the paper width does not match the size specified, you'll need to disable the paper width detection function of the printer.
