Description

This article explains how to load an original photo or document on the platen (scanner) glass when copying or scanning with the PIXMA TR7020.

Solution

Loading Originals on the Platen (Scanner Glass)

  1. Open the document cover.

  2. Load the original item WITH THE SIDE TO SCAN FACING DOWN on the platen.

    Load the original photo or document face down on the glass

    Align the corner of the original with the alignment mark .

    Align the corner of the item on the glass with the alignment mark

     Be sure to observe the following when loading the original on the platen. Failure to observe the following may cause the scanner to malfunction or the platen glass to break.

  • Do not place any objects weighing 4.4 lb (2.0 kg) or more on the platen glass.

  • Do not put any pressure of 4.4 lb (2.0 kg) or more on the platen glass, such as pressing down the original.

    • The printer can't scan the striped area (A) (0.04 in. (1 mm) from the edges of the platen glass).

  1. Gently close the document cover.

 After loading the original on the platen, be sure to close the document cover before starting to copy or scan.
