You can use Canon PRINT to assign a static IP address to your printer. Follow the steps below if you want to assign a static IP address to the printer.

 Depending on your model, you may see different options than the ones shown in these screenshots.

  1. On the main screen of the Canon PRINT, select the printer.

  2. Select Printer Information.

     If you see a prompt similar to the following, select Password Authentication.

  3. The printer's Remote UI will appear in a web browser. Select Log on.

     If a warning message similar to the one shown below appears, select Show Details or the appropriate option.

    You may need to select another option to confirm that you want to proceed. If you are prompted again to continue, select the appropriate affirmative option.

  4. Enter the password for your printer, then select OK.

  5. Select System info and LAN settings.

  7. Select Other settings.

     For some models, select Advanced setup.

  8. Select Yes. The displayed message may vary depending on the printer model you are using.

  9. Select TCP/IP settings.

  10. Select IPv4.

  11. Select IP address.

  12. Select Manual setup, then select OK.

  13. Enter the IP address, Subnet mask, and Default gateway. Select OK when finished.

  14. If this prompt appears, select OK.

    The IP address will be set to the one you specified.

     If you change the IP address to something different from what is shown on the screen displayed in step 13, your mobile device will indicate that it can't communicate with the printer. You'll need to either access the Remote UI again through Canon PRINT as shown in steps 1-4, or you'll need to enter the new IP address you specified into the web browser you're using. You may need to re-enter the printer's password.

     If your printer has a static IP address and you want it to automatically obtain an IP address from your wireless router, select Auto setup in step 12. However, if you do this, the printer will most likely obtain a new IP address from the router. You'll need to access the Remote UI again through Canon PRINT as shown in steps 1-4.
