Set Up the TR8620 to the Wireless Network - WPS Push Button Method

Learn how to use the WPS push button method to connect the PIXMA TR8620 to a wireless network.

Solution

Your printer can be connected to a wireless router via the WPS push button method. This will allow you to establish a wireless connection between the printer and router without having to enter in the network password. To establish a wireless connection via the WPS push button method, follow these steps.

  1. With the printer powered on and displaying the HOME screen, tap the network symbol at the lower left.

  2. Tap Wi-Fi.

  3. Tap Wi-Fi setup.

  4. Tap WPS (Push button method).

  5. When this message appears, tap OK.

  6. Press and hold the WPS button on your wireless router for a few seconds. Then, tap OK.

    After pressing and holding the WPS button on the router, tap OK (outlined in red)

     Refer to the wireless router's documentation for more informaiton on the WPS button.

    The printer will attempt to connect to the router.

  7. When the printer has established its connection, tap OK.
