Wireless Setup - Windows** Computers

**Instructions in this article are for setup on a Windows computer.  If setting up on a Mac, click here for instructions

To be able to use the PIXMA TS series printer to print or scan wirelessly on a Windows computer, the printer must first be connected to the wireless network. Then, drivers and applications must be installed on the computer. The instructions / screenshots below show an alternative setup method whereby a USB cable is connected temporarily to the printer and computer to set up the wireless connection.

Download and run the setup file.*

Get the Setup File

  1. Run the setup file and click Start Setup.

  1. Read the network security notice and click Next.

    The installer will acquire information on the latest driver and software available for the printer. This may take several minutes.

  2. Read the license agreement. Select Yes to continue.  If you click No, the installation won't continue.

  3. Select Agree or Do not Agree to the information request.

    If you select Do not agree, a message will appear. Click OK to continue.

    After processing for a few moments, the instailer will check the printer's status.

  4. Select Wi-Fi Connection and click Next.

  5. With the printer powered on, click Next.

  6. The installer will search for the printer on the network.

    On the Connecting Printer to Network screen, click Next.

  7. On the Preparing Printer screen, click Next. Don't press the button on the printer as instructed on this screen.

  8. Click Alternative Methods.

  9. Select Set up Wi-Fi connection using a USB cable, then click Next.

  10. Connect the printer and computer with a USB cable.

  11. The installer will process for a few moments.

    The connection is completed. Click Next.

     If your printer isn't detected, you may need to temporarily disable any security software, or, if you don't want to do that, you may need to open up ports that the printer uses for network communcation. Please refer to the documentation for your security software for information on how to open these ports.

  12. Disconnect the USB cable, then click Next.

    The MP Drivers for your printer will be installed. This may take several minutes.

  13. Click Next.
