This article shows how to make a standard copy with the MAXIFY GX6020.

Making Copies

This article describes the basic procedure to perform standard copying.

  1. Make sure that the printer is powered on.

  2. Load paper in the rear tray or the cassette.

  3. Select Copy on the HOME screen.

    The Copy standby screen is displayed.

  4. Load the original item on the platen (scanner glass) or in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

  5. Adjust the settings as desired.

    1. Specify the page size and the media type.

      Select the numbers to specify the number of copies.

    3. The scanning method and copy layout are displayed.

      Switch the scanning method from the ADF and layout (single-sided/two-sided).

    4. Select to register the current scan settings as a custom setting.

    5. Display the print setting items.

  6. Press the Black button or the Color button.

    The printer starts copying.

    Remove the original on the platen (scanner glass) or from the document output slot after copying is complete.

     Don't open the document cover or remove the original from the platen until scanning is completed.

     If you load the original in the ADF, don't move the original until copying is complete.

     To cancel copying, press the Stop button.

     If a message informing you that the operation restriction is displayed, contact the administrator of the printer.


 

Adding Copying Job (Reserve copy)

If you load the original on the platen (scanner glass), you can add a copying job while printing (Reserve copy).

The screen below is displayed when you can add a copying job.

Load the original on the platen (scanner glass) and select the same button (Black button or Color button) as the one which you previously pressed.

 When you load the original on the platen, gently move the document cover.

 When Print qlty (print quality) is set to High, you can't add a copying job.

 When you add a copying job, the number of copies or the settings such as the page size or media type can't be changed.

 If you press the Stop button while reserve copying is in progress, the screen to select the method to cancel copying is displayed. If you select Cancel all reservations, you can cancel copying all scanned data. If you select Cancel the last reservation, you can cancel the last copying job.

 If you set a document of too many pages to add the copying job, Cannot add more copy jobs. Please wait a while and redo the operation. may appear on the touch screen. Select OK and wait a while, and then try copying again.

 If Failed to reserve the copy job. Start over from the beginning. appears on the touch screen when scanning, select OK and press Stop button to cancel copying. After that, copy the documents that have not been finished copying.
