How to update the firmware (TZ-30000)

Description

In order to ensure your printer is functioning it's best, you should update the printer's firmware whenever a new version become available.

Solution

 Firmware Update

  • When you use this function, make sure the printer is connected to the Internet.
  • The administrator password is required to change settings if it is enabled for changing settings using the control panel.

 Using the Operation (Control) Panel
  1. Tap Printer settings on HOME screen.
    The Maintenance screen appears.

     
  2. Tap Firmware update.
    Enter the password if it is enabled.

     
  3. Tap Install update.

     
  4. Tap Yes..

     
  5. Confirm displayed message and tap Start update.

     
 Using the Remote UI
  1. Start up the Remote UI..

     
  2. Select Firmware update.

     
  3. Select Install update.

     
  4. Confirm displayed message and select Update.
    • If the firmware update is not complete, check the following and take an appropriate action.
      - Check the network settings such as a wireless router.
      - If Cannot connect to the server. is displayed on the touch screen, select OK and try again in a while.
