Description

This article provides information on many of the keys found on the keyboard of the Mk2600.

1. Orientation key
Use this key to change the printing orientation.

15. Ins
Use this key to switch between insert mode and overwrite mode.

2. Seg Len
Use this key to change the cutting length (the length of one tube or one label tape), the character alignment (left-justifed or centered), and the margin.

16. Del
Use this key to delete character data that has been entered. When this key is pressed, the character marked by the cursor is deleted.

3. Frame
Use this key to add a border around text.

17. Canc
Use this key to return to the previous display in the setup display, or to cancel a printing operation. If the setup display is currently displayed, hold down the Shift key while pressing the Canc key to return to the text input display. To cancel the current printing operation immediately, without waiting for the printing or cutting operation to end, hold down this key until the printer begins to beep.

4. Char Size
Use this key to change the character size.

18. Back Space
Use this key to delete character data that has been entered. Each time this key is pressed, the character that precedes the cursor is deleted.

5. Set Lines
Use this key to change the number of lines.

19. Page
Use this key to find out what page is currently being displayed. The free memory capacity is also displayed simultaneously.

6. Char Space
Use this key to change the spacing between characters.

20. Caps Lock
Press this key to switch character input between uppercase and lowercase.

7. Edit
Use this key to insert, delete, copy, cut and paste pages.

21. Alt
To enter symbols, use this key to select or delete characters.

8. Cont Print
Use this key to print a specific page multiple times (continuous printing).

22. Remove
Use this key to ejecting a printing media.

9. Num
Use this key to print numbered character data (numbered printing).

23. Symbol 1, Symbol 2
Use this key to enter symbols.

10. File
Use this key to save text date that has been entered, and to retrieve saved data.

24. Adjust
Use this key to adjust the printing start position, to adjust the depth and speed of half cutting and full cutting, and so forth.

11. PC Conn
Use this key when the printer is connected to the PC using the USB cable contained in the PC connection kit.

25. Set Cut
Use this key to select whether or not to use half cutting, and when to make a full cut.

12. Func
Use this key to adjust the printing density, to select the printing speed, to set the operation sound, and so forth.

26. Print
Use this key to print the entered text on a printing media.

13. Maint
Use this key to feed a printing media forward or backward, to replace the cutter, to forcibly full cut a tube or label tape, and so forth.

27. Direction keys
Use these keys to make selections on the setup display and in the menus, and to move the cursor on the text entry display. Also on the text entry display, hold down the Shift key while pressing these keys to jump either one page back or one page ahead.

14. Del All
Use this key to delete all of the text data that is currently displayed, or to restore the initial settings.
