How to Disable IPv6 - G620

Description

If your PIXMA G620 is connected to your wireless network but does not have an IPv4 address, disabling IPv6 may help resolve this problem.

Solution

To disable IPv6 on your PIXMA G620, please follow the steps below. 

  1. With the printer powered on, press the Setup  button.

  2. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until Device settings is selected. Then, press the OK button.

  3. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until LAN settings is selected. Then, press the OK button.

  4. Wi-Fi will be selected.  Press the OK button.

  5. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until Manual setup is selected. Then, press the OK button.

  6. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until TCP/IP settings is selected. Then, press the OK button.

  7. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until IPv6 is selected. Then, press the OK button.

  8. A message will scroll on the screen indicating that LAN communication may be disabled. Press the OK button.

  9. Enable/disable IPv6 will be selected.  Press the OK button.

  10. Use the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until Disable is selected. Then, press the OK button.

IPv6 will be disabled.

To enable IPv6, follow the steps above, but select Enable and press the OK button.
