Learn how to reset the Printer to its Default Settings - TR4520 / TR4522

Solution

To set the PIXMA TR4520 / TR4522 to it's factory default settings, follow these steps.

  1. With the printer powered on, press the Setup  button.

  2. In the Setup menu, press the Right arrow button until Device settings appears, then press the OK button.

  3. In the Device settings menu, press the Right arrow button until Reset settings appears, then press the OK button.

  4. In the Reset settings menu, press the Right arrow button to select the desired area with to set back to the factory defaults. See below for the various selections.

    • Web service setup - Returns the Web service settings back to the default.
    • LAN settings - Returns the LAN settings back to the default.
    • Telephone no. data - Returns the telephone/fax number settings to default.
    • Setting data - Returns the settings such as the paper size, media type, or other setting items other than the LAN settings or the fax settings back to the default.
    • FAX settings - Returns the fax settings back to the default. Disconnect the telephone line from the printer before you return this setting item back to the default.
      After resetting, perform setup again as necessary.
    • All data - Sets all settings you made to the printer back to the default. The administrator password specified by Remote UI or IJ Network Device Setup Utility reverts to the default setting.
      After resetting, perform setup again as necessary.
       
  5. Once you have selected the desired area to reset, press the OK button.

  6. A message will be displayed informing you that all FAX documents in memory will be deleted.  Press the OK button to confirm.

  7. Press the Left arrow button to select Yes, confirming that you want to reset.  Then press the OK button.

The selected area should now be reset to the factory default settings.
