Banding Appears on Prints - PRO-1000

Description

This article provides information on troubleshooting banded prints on the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000.

Solution

If you are experiencing banding (uneven appearance of color) when printing with the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, enabling Unidirectional Printing may resolve the issue.

Follow the steps below to enable this setting.

 When Unidirectional Printing is enabled, the printing speed will slow down.
 

Windows

  1. Open the printer driver setup window.

  2. In the Main tab, select the Media Type that you want to print on.

  3. Select Advanced Settings....

  4. In the Paper Detailed Settings dialog box, place a check in the box for Unidirectional Printing, then select OK.

  5. Select Apply, then select OK.

  6. Print the desired image.
     

macOS

  1. With an image open that you want to print, open the Print dialog by selecting Print... from the File menu.

  2. Select Quality & Media from the pop-up menu.

  3. Select the media type that you want to print on.

  4. Select Advanced Paper Settings from the pop-up menu.

  5. Place a check in the box for Unidirectional Printing.

  6. Print the desired image.
