Occasionally, firmware updates for your printer are provided. These updates improve printer security and print quality. To update the firmware of your printer from the operation panel, follow these steps.

With the printer powered on, press the Setup
button.

In the Setup menu, press the
button until Device settings appears. Press the OK button.

In Device settings, press the
button until Firmware update appears. Press the OK button.

Install update will appear on the LCD. Press the OK button.

The printer will search for an available firmware update.

If a firmware update is available, you will be asked if you want to update the firmware. Use the
buttons to select Yes, press the OK button, then follow the instructions on the screen.
Don't turn off or unplug the printer while the firmware update is in progress.
If the firmware on your printer is up to date, a message will scroll on the LCD that indicates that the latest firmware version is installed. Press the OK button.
