Learn how to disable the wireless network adapter in the PIXMA MX490 / MX492.

Solution

Follow these steps to disable the wireless network adapter in your printer.

  1. Press the Setup  button on the printer.

  2. Press the Right arrow button until Device settings appears.  Press OK.

  3. Press the Right arrow button until LAN settings appears.  Press OK.

  4. Press the Right arrow button until Change LAN appears.  Press OK.

  5. Press the Right arrow button until LAN inactive appears.  Press OK.

​The wireless network adapter inside the printer will be turned off.

 To re-enable the adapter, follow the steps above. On step 5, press the Left arrow Right arrow buttons until Wireless LAN appears, then press the OK button.
