Follow the procedure below to send faxes with the on hook dial function.

 It may be possible that faxes will reach unintended recipients due to the misdialing or incorrect registration of fax / telephone numbers. When you send important documents, we recommend that you send them after speaking on the telephone.

 With manual transmission, you cannot use the platen (scanner glass) to load documents. Load the documents in the ADF (Auto Document Feeder).

When loading document on the platen, send a fax with automatic transmission.

 You can use the on hook dial function only when Hook key setting in Security control under Fax settings is set to Enable.

1. Make sure the printer is powered on.

2. Load documents in the ADF.

3. Select Fax on the HOME screen.

   The Fax standby screen is displayed.

4. Change send settings as necessary.

5. Select .

6. Specify a recipient with the one of the following methods.

   • By specifying with the recipient registered to the printer

   • By entering the fax / telephone numbers

   • Manual redialing:

     Select Redial and select a number in the outgoing call logs.

7. When you hear a high-pitched signal, press the Black  button or the Color  button.

    Color transmission is available only when the recipient's fax device supports color faxing.

 If documents remain in the ADF after the Stop  button is pressed while scanning is in progress, Originals in ADF. Remove any originals from the document tray and tap [OK]. is displayed on the touch screen. By selecting OK, the remaining documents are automatically ejected.
