If you are attempting to SCAN while the printer is performing another operation (for example, printing), please wait for that operation to finish before attempting to SCAN.
If you are attempting to SCAN while a support code is displayed by the printer, you must address and resolve that support code before you can continue to SCAN.
For example, a 1640 support code signifies that the printer has detected that the remaining ink in one or more of the ink tanks may have reached the lower limit line shown on the ink tank, and you must follow the instructions to resolve the 1640 support code to continue to SCAN.
