Cause
A printer error has occurred during startup.
What to Do
Turn off the printer.
If the access covers are open, check in the printer for any foreign material that prevents the print head holder from moving. If any such material is found, remove it.
Close the access covers, then turn on the printer.
If this does not solve the problem, contact your nearest Canon service center to request a repair.
