Learn about miscellaneous settings of the PIXMA G4270 that can be adjusted.

Solution

Select this setting item from Device settings in Settings.

  • Date / time settings

Sets the current date and time.

  • Date display format

    Selects the date display format.

  • Daylight saving time settings

Sets daylight saving time (summer time).

  • Sound control

    Selects the volume.

    • Keypad sound
Selects the beep volume when pressing the touch screen or the buttons on the operation panel.

    • Alarm sound
      Selects the alarm volume.

    • Line monitor sound
      Selects the line monitor volume.

    • Offhook alarm
Selects the alarm volume when the phone receiver is not put on the hook properly.

  • Key repeat

Selecting ON lets you quickly display candidate numbers or characters by holding down the up down button during character entry.

  • Original removal reminder

Selects whether the printer will display the reminder screen in case you forget to remove the original from the platen (scanner glass) after scanning.

Depending on the type of original or the state of the document cover, forgetting to remove the original may not be detected.

  • Wi-Fi pairing settings

In order to connect Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY, multiple configurations will be performed.

    • Enable / disable pairing
Set the printer's Wi-Fi pairing function to enable or disable.

    • Allow / block additional pairing
Permit or prohibit the addition of pairing with Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY used in another device.

    • Delete paired devices
Cancel all Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY pairing.

  • Ink level monitor

    • Reset ink lev. count
      Resets the remaining ink count.

After refilling the ink to the upper limit line of the ink tank, reset the remaining ink count.

If the remaining ink count is reset when the ink tank is not full, the remaining ink level cannot be detected properly.

    • Ink notification
Enables or disables the function which notifies the remaining ink.

If the remaining ink level notification function is disabled, visually inspect the remaining ink and refill the ink tanks as necessary. Continuing printing with ink below the lower limit line of an ink tank may prevent satisfactory print quality.

When changing the remaining ink level notification function from disabled to enabled, it is necessary to refill all ink tanks up to the upper limit line.

  • Fixed print quality

Specifies print quality when printing on plain paper.
