The MK Desktop Utility can only launch one window at a time.
The format setting for new fi les and additional pages will be based on the values
set in the [Format Setting] - [Default Setting] section of the [Edit] menu.
The file formats that can be opened with MK Desktop Utility are as follows.
- MK Desktop Utility File (*.md5)
- Conventional Application File (*.md4; *.md3; *.md2; *.MTD)
- CSV File (*.CSV)
Opening a File Created with this Software
- Click
(Open).
- Or, select [Open] from the [File] menu.

- Select a file in MK Desktop Utility File (*.md5) and click [Open].
- The specified file will open and be displayed in the data list.

Opening a File Created with a Conventional Application
- Click
(Open).
- Or, select [Open] from the [File] menu.

- Select "Conventional Application File (*.md4; *.md3; *.md2; *.MTD)" for the file type.

- Select a file in the conventional application file (*.md4; *.md3; *.md2; *.MTD) and click [Open].
- The specified file will open and be displayed in the data list.
- When the file is opened, a message will be displayed informing you that the file has been converted to the new format (.md5).

- Click [OK].
- The specified file will open and be displayed in the data list.

When saving the edited data, save it as an alias using "MK Desktop Utility File
(*.md5)" or "CSV File (*.CSV)."
Opening a CSV file
When a CSV file is opened in the MK Desktop Utility, it will be loaded into the data list under the following conditions.

Row 1: Text data of 1st line Row 2: Text data of 2nd line
Row 3: Number of continuous prints
* Data in the fourth and subsequent rows is invalid. |
The maximum number of lines that can be read is 10000
- Click
(Open).
- Or, select [Open] from the [File] menu.

- Select [CSV File (*.CSV)] for the file type.

- Select a file in CSV File (*.CSV) and click [Open].
- The specified file will open and be displayed in the data list.
- When you open the file, the "Read Format Selection" dialog box will appear.

- Set the format, and then click [OK].

When "1 Line" is selected for [Lines], the data in the fi rst column of the CSV file
will be read. The data in the second column will not be read.
When saving the edited data, save it as an alias using "MK Desktop Utility File
(*.md5)" or "CSV File (*.CSV)."
Functions not supported by this printer are displayed in light gray.
The contents of the specified file can be additionally loaded at the end of the data list being edited.
- Select [Add] from the [File] menu.

- Select the file to be loaded and click [Open].
- The data of the specified file will be added to the end of the data list being edited.

To Overwrite and Save the File You Are Editing
- Click
(Save).
- Or, select [Save] from the [File] menu.
- The file will be saved.

When saving a new file, the [Save As] dialog box will appear.
Saving a file as a new name
- Select [Save As] from the [File] menu.
|
- Specify [Save in], [File name] and, [Save as type] and then click [Save].
|
