This article shows what to adjust if you're experiencing scratches on prints when using the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000.
Solution
If you are experiencing scratched prints when using the imagePROGRAF PRO-1000, the print head may be scratching the surface of the paper as it is feeding through the printer. Follow the steps below, depending on where you are printing from.
With the printer powered on, select Various settings from the HOME screen.
In the Main tab, make sure that your Media Type is specified, then select Advanced Settings... (Photo Paper Plus Glossy II is used in this example).
Select Avoid Paper Abrasion for Print Head Height, then click OK.
Click Apply, then OK.
Proceed with printing.
In the Print dialog, select the media you are using under Quality & Media (Photo Paper Plus Glossy II is used in this example), then click OK.
Select Avoid Paper Abrasion under Advanced Paper Settings, then click OK.
Proceed with printing.
