Description

If your imagePROGRAF TC-20 / TC-20M is not properly feeding roll paper, adjusting the tension setting may resolve the problem.

Solution

If roll paper is not properly feeding into the imagePROGRAF TC-20 / TC-20M (knocking / banging sounds / Support Code 1300 appears on the screen), try adjusting the Roll paper tension settings.

  1. With the printer powered on and displaying the HOME screen, tap the Setup  icon.

  2. Select Printer settings.

  3. Select Paper-related settings.

  4. Select Advanced paper settings.

  5. Select the media type.

  6. Select either Roll paper tension (printing) or Roll paper tension (feeding).

  7. Select HighStandard, or Low.

Select High, Standard, or Low to adjust the Roll paper tension setting

  8. Press the HOME HOME button button.

  9. Try to load the roll paper again.

Make sure that the roll is tight. Also, make sure that the edges of the roll are even:

Align the edges of the paper on both ends of the roll
