Print or Scan With Wireless Direct - PIXMA TS3720

Description

Learn how to use Wireless Direct with your PIXMA TS3720, which allows you to print and scan directly to your printer without the use of a wireless router.

Solution

Follow the procedures below to use Wireless Direct.

 You can connect up to 5 devices to the printer at the same time.
 

Enable Wireless Direct on the printer.

  1. Turn on the printer.

  2. Press the Wireless select button. The  icon appears on the LCD.

    Wireless Direct is enabled and a device can be connected to the printer wirelessly.

 To check the printer's MAC address and the current Wireless Direct settings, print out the network settings information.
 

Connecting a smartphone / tablet / computer to the printer

  1. Enable Wi-Fi in the Settings menu on your smartphone / tablet / computer.

    For instructions on enabling the Wi-Fi function, refer to the instruction manual for your smartphone / tablet / computer.

  1. Select XXXXXX-TS3700series, ("XXXXXX" represents the last six digits of the printer's MAC (Media Access Control) address), from the list displayed on your smartphone / tablet / computer.

     If XXXXXX-TS3700series does not appear on the list, Wireless Direct is not enabled.

  2. Enter the printer's password on your smartphone / tablet / computer. Your device is connected to the printer.

     You can check the password via the network settings printout.

  • Based on the your device, the specified password for the printer is required and must be entered to complete the connection.

  • Your security settings will determine if you may or may not need to enter a password.

 

Print and scan with Wireless Direct.

  1. After the device and the printer are connect, you can print or scan from the app that supports in on your device.

     For Windows, use IJ Scan Utility, which is included with the MP Drivers for your printer.

     For macOS™, use IJ Scan Utility Lite, which is included with the Full Software Package for your printer. It is also available separately from the Canon website.

  2. For more information on how to print or scan from your device via Wi-Fi, please refer to the device's or application's instruction manual.

  3. You can also print or scan from your smartphone or tablet via the Canon PRINT Inkjet / SELPHY app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
