In Canon Inkjet Smart Connect, there is a privacy setting that can be adjusted. To access this setting, select Preferences... from the Canon Inkjet Smart Connect menu.

You can toggle if you want to send app usage information and learn about the information we collect.

If you want to learn more about apps for your printer, you can select that option from the main screen, or you can click Recommended Apps... on the left.

This screen will show you various programs you can run to make use of your printer. If you don't have a particular program installed, a website will open which will provide more information on the program in question. In some instances (such as clicking Open... for Cloud), rather than a program opening, a web site will open instead.
