Scanning using CaptureOnTouch on a Windows computer is slower than expected

Answer

 The scanner's performance may become lower than it's specification due to anti-virus software settings.

If you are using Windows Defender, follow these steps to exclude our CaptureOnTouch application from the Windows Defender software monitoring.
 
  1. Click "Turn on Windows Defender" from Windows Defender screen.
    Turn on Windows Defender
     
  2. Select "Virus & threat protection", then open the "Virus & threat protection settings".
    * This setting may not available if another anti-virus (other than Windows Defender) software is installed. In this case, please check the specification of the other anti-virus software.
    Select "Virus & threat protection"
     
  3. Click "Add or remove exclusions".
    Click "Add or remove exclusions"
     
  4. Click "Add an exclusion", then select "Process".
    Click "Add an exclusion", then select "Rrocess"
     
  5. Enter [TouchDR.exe] in the text box and click "Add".
    Enter [TouchDR.exe] in the text box and click "Add"
