SmartWorks MFP can scan to an SMB shared scan folder. To keep the SMB username and password secure, SmartWorks MFP User Accounts must be enabled to use the SMB protocol.

Note: The following example shows how to create and test a simple SMB shared folder on a network PC, then configure SmartWorks MFP on the system controller to scan to that folder. This document is not intended as extensive training on the SMB communication protocol, but provide a simple means to test the basic functionality.

For further information, contact your local network System Administrator.
