Before Starting
See if your printer is supported by the Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool.
The Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool is an application for Windows that allows you to perform printer maintenance or change the printer settings.
When MP Drivers are installed, Canon IJ Printer Assistant Tool is also installed.
If you don't have the tool installed, go to Canon Support > search for your model > select Drivers & Downloads > select Software.
If your computer's operating system isn't automatically detected after selecting Drivers & Downloads, select it from the drop down menu.
The tool can be started in two ways:

After opening the printer driver setup window, click the Maintenance and Preferences icon in the Maintenance tab.

From the Start menu or screen, depending on which version of Windows is installed:

Windows 7: Click Start -> All Programs -> Canon Utilities -> IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

Windows 8 / 8.1: Click Start -> Canon Utilities -> IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

Windows 10: Click Start -> Canon Utilities -> IJ Printer Assistant Tool.

Windows 11: Click Start -> All apps -> Canon Utilities -> IJ Printer Assistant Tool.
