Before Starting
This article assumes that your printer is already connected wirelessly to your network. If it is not, you will need to connect it to the network first. Possible connection methods are:
After connecting the printer to your network, follow the steps shown below.
Add the Printer to your Mac®
To use your PIXMA MG6620 wirelessly with a Mac running macOS 10.12 or later, follow the steps below.

Go to the PIXMA MG6620 support page.

Choose Drivers under Download Type. Then, click the Download button to the right of the MG6600 series CUPS printer driver.
You will also need to download the ICA driver if you want to scan.

After the files have downloaded, open them. Then, open the .pkg file.
If you are unable to open the .pkg file, you can Control-click the .pkg file and then click Open from the pop-up menu.

The printer driver installer will begin.
Click Continue and follow any on-screen instructions. If you are prompted to enter your computer's password to proceed with the installation, enter the password when the prompt appears.

After the CUPS printer driver has been installed, close the installer, then follow steps 3 and 4 for the ICA driver if you have downloaded that.

After the drivers are installed, click the Apple menu at the upper left corner of the screen, then click Print & Fax / Print & Scan / Printers & Scanners (the name will depend on which version of macOS you are running).

Click the plus symbol towards the lower left to open the Add window.

When the Add window opens, wait for a few moments. A listing for Canon MG6600 series will appear. Under Kind, you will see Canon IJ Network. Click this listing. After a few moments, make sure that the Use pop-up menu towards the bottom of the window says Canon MG6600 series.
Click Add.

After a few moments, your printer will be added to the printer list.
After following the steps above, it is recommended that you download IJ Scan Utility and Canon IJ Network Tool under the Software & Utilities section under Download Type on the PIXMA MG6620 support page.
