Clearing a Paper Jam (DR-M160)
|
When paper jams and double feeds are detected during scanning, the following error codes are displayed in the scanner's display panel and scanning is interrupted. Be careful when removing jammed paper, take care not to cut your hand on the edges of the paper. Remove any documents that have been left in the feed tray .

Setting the Long Document Mode (DR-M160 / M160II)

Setting the Long Document Mode By selecting the Long Document mode and setting the [ Paper Size] on the scanner driver settings screen to Auto-detection, documents of up to 3,000 mm (118. 1 ") in length can be scanned. Note the following when using the Long Document mode.

The counter in the scanner that records the number of paper fed needs to be reset when you replace the rollers.

Replacing the Retard Roller.(DR-M160)

Use the following procedure to remove/replace the retard roller. Open the document eject tray . Pull the OPEN lever and pull open the front unit toward you.

Replacing the Feed Roller.(DR-M160)
|
Use the following procedure to remove/replace the feed roller. Open the document eject tray . Pull the OPEN lever and pull open the front unit toward you.

Documents are not feeding properly.
|
If documents are not feeding properly, it may be due to static electricity. If this is the case, before you place your document, thoroughly fan the stack of papers and align their edges.

The scanned image appears differently in some applications.
|
Some applications may not support functions such as auto-detection of the paper size. Scanning documents with an applicaiton such as this will result in abnormal scanned image.

Cleaning the Sensor Glass and the Rollers.(DR-M160)

Open the document eject tray . Pull the OPEN lever and pull open the front unit toward you. Used compress air to remove dust and paper particles from the inside of the scanner.

Scanning with Barcodes - CaptureOnTouch Pro
|
Click the "Close" button to close the "Select document" window. Click on the drop-down to the right of "Separation paper :" to indicate whether you want the page containing the barcode to be included in the saved document or not. Click the "Close" button to close this window.
