In Windows 8, there are two easy ways to transfer your images from the computer to a memeory card or USB flash drive: Copy and Paste Plug the your USB flash drive into an available USB port or insert your memory card into an available slot or memory card reader.
The VIXIA HV20 and HV30 use Mini SD type memory cards. This camcorder has been tested with Mini SD cards up to 2GB capacity. Performance cannot be guaranteed for all Mini SD cards.
When your Canon product is not detected via the IEEE-1394 port and proper operation has been confirmed on another computer this indicates a problem with the computers ability to access the device.
