Where is the serial number located? The serial number of this product may be found on the side of the camera behind the LCD screen or behind the battery back or under the viewfinder (location varies by model). You should record the number and other vital information in your user's manual in the space provided (normally at the bottom of one of the first few pages), and retain the manual as a permanent record of your purchase to aid identification in case of theft.

Using multiple microphones with the XL1/XL1S

How can I use multiple microphones with the XL1/XL1S? The XL1/XL1S is supplied with a stereo electret condenser microphone. With the optional MA-100 or MA-200 Microphone Adapter you can also use microphones equipped with XLR connectors, or you may attach a wireless microphone receiver. See pages 36-39 (XL1) or pages 51-54 (XL1S) of the manual for details on setting up the audio channels.

How to remove a tape that will not eject

My tape will not eject. How can I get it out? Once the power source is available, some models require manually unlatching and opening a cover. When the cover is fully open, the cassette tape will eject automatically after a few seconds. If the tape still will not eject, seek assistance from a Canon Service Facility.
