CMS-XML Recovering Data on the CF Card
Some actions, such as suddenly turning off the camcorder or removing the CF card while data is being recorded, can cause data errors on the CF card. In such case, you may be able to recover the data on the CF card.
CMS-XML Attempt to use data recovery software or contact a data recovery company.
If images or videos have been mistakenly deleted from the computer and/or the camcorders hard drive or memory card, third party data recovery software or data recovery companies may be able to retrieve the videos and/or images. PDF EOS C300 / EOS C500
Typically, the RAW outputs from these cameras constitute a single output signal which is subsequently debayered to structure the three separate RGB video components. This process entails some degree of reconstruction errors depending upon the sophistication of the debayering algorithm. The EOS C500 and C300 cameras also employ the classic Bayer CFA – but we deploy an alternative strategy to the construction of the separate HD / 2K RGB frames as described in Reference [1].
CMS-XML Understanding the EOS C300's Canon Log Gamma
Unlike traditional video gamma settings that are meant for immediate broadcast, recording in a log gamma such as Canon Log creates images that naturally look darker and flatter than what we're used to seeing. In a log gamma, correctly exposed images look incorrectly exposed – looking dark and flat while also having milky blacks. This is because images shot in log gamma need to go through color correction before looking "correct" to the viewer.
