CMS-XML Understanding the EOS C300's Canon Log Gamma
People unfamiliar with log may tend to expose their images incorrectly if striving to create an image that looks correct to the eye. To prevent this common problem, Canon has included a new View Assist feature, which allows you to access an on-screen preview of how the image might look once graded in post. By turning on View Assist, the LCD and viewfinder of the C300 shows an estimated "correct" image while still recording a truly flat log picture to the CF card.
PDF COMMON STEPS TO PREP THE EOS C300 FOR SHOOTING
MENU > • View Assist cannot be adjusted or changed to simulate different “looks” • View Assist applies only to what’s seen in the EOS C300’s viewfinder, or the Canon -supplied LCD monitor. The correction applied with View Assist is not output via the SDI or HDMI output ports.
CMS-XML How do I recover deleted scenes and images from my camcorder or memory card?
Deleted scenes or images may be recoverable using commercially available data recovery software. If the application is unable to recover scenes or images, the camcorder or memory card may need to be sent to a professional data recovery service company .
CMS-XML Attempt to use data recovery software or contact a data recovery company.
If images or videos have been mistakenly deleted from the computer and/or the camcorders hard drive or memory card, third party data recovery software or data recovery companies may be able to retrieve the videos and/or images. Canon does not bundle any type of data recovery software with our products. We would suggest contacting your computer or memory card manufacturers for possible suggestions and/or perform a web search for data/image recovery.
