3. Close the cover. The camera cannot use Type II CF cards, hard disk-type cards, or CFast cards. Multimedia cards (MMC) cannot be used ( card error will be displayed).
Format the card in the following cases: The card was formatted by a different camera or a computer. The card is full with images or data. A card -related error is displayed.
Possible issues and resolutions If you have multiple memory cards, initialize another memory card and take some test shots. If images can be played back normally, the card that shows the error message may be malfunctioning. Try reformatting the faulty memory card to solve the issue.
When the card is formatted, all images and data on the card will be erased. Even protected images will be erased, so make sure there is nothing you need to keep.

About memory card classes The UHS Speed Class was introduced in 2009 by the SD Association and is designed for SDHC and SDXC memory cards. UHS uses a new communication method which allows much higher transfer speeds when used in compatible devices. If you use a UHS memory card in a non-UHS device the card will only operate at the devices standard bus speed.
