To record with an external microphone, connect a commercially available external microphone with a mini-plug ( 3.5 mm diameter) to the external microphone IN terminal. Note that the built-in microphone is not used for recording when an external microphone is connected.

Using Vista, you must use or install ZoomBrowser 6.3.1 in order to view RAW images.

For Windows Vista, the ZoomBrowser version 6.1.1A must be installed and not the later ZoomBrowser version 6.3 . This is because the earlier version has the correct RAW Image Task compatible with this model camera. To download this version of ZoomBrowser please visit the [Download] tab of the support page for your camera.

Movie files recorded in the .MOV file format require ZoomBrowser 6.3.1 or later to edit movies.

Editing movies using ZoomBrowser EX ver. 5.x For the following cameras, the PowerShot G10, SX10 IS, SD880 IS and SD990 IS, you must update the ZoomBrowser version to 6.3 or later for movie editing to be available. These cameras record movies in the MOV H.264 codec and require a software update for this feature to be avaialable.
