Solution If the [Memory card locked] message appears when you attempt to capture or play back images with the camera, please refer to the procedures below to unlock the memory card (hereafter referred to as ' card ').
1. Using a Card Reader or a Card Slot on a Computer to Download Images Use a card reader to save images or movies on a memory card to a computer without using Canon software or a USB cable.
The [Memory card error ] message appears. The speed at which images are written to or read from the memory card, or the continuous shooting speed has been reduced. Movie shooting stops partway.
Recording times for individual movies are based on memory cards rated at an SD speed class of 10. Recording may stop when cards rated at lower speed classes are used. Recording will also stop automatically when the file size reaches 4 GB, or when the card becomes full.
