Add Printer Wizard Win2000/XP If the printer name is invalid, it means the client cannot connect to the shared printer. If a suitable driver is not found, it probably means the server is a Windows 98/Me computer.

Installing the Software It takes about 60 seconds for [ON] to light green. When the machine is recognized by the computer, a message appears on the screen. If you cannot go to the next procedure after 10 minutes, click Help and confirm the message.

Printing onto Custom Size Paper
|
Some print functions may be unavailable when printing on paper sizes other than standard. When registering a paper size in the properties dialog box of a Windows print server , set the margins between 5.0 mm (0.19 inches) and 50.0 mm (1.96 inches). If you select [Device Settings] tab -> [Detailed Settings] -> [Display Also Custom Paper Sizes Not Included in This Driver], you can register custom paper sizes not defined in the printer driver.

Printing onto Custom Size Paper

You can register the paper size specified in the [ Server Properties] dialog box accessed from the [Printers] or [Printers and Faxes] as a custom-size paper. In this case, enter a value of 0.20" - 2" (5 mm - 50 mm) for the left, right, top and bottom margin in [Printer Area Margins].
