If you plan to use the MultiPASS as a stand-alone fax machine , user settings, such as date and time, name, and telephone number are programmable through the control panel. However, to program speed dials, set legal paper for legal sized copies or faxes , or other user setting changes, it is recommended to install the MultiPASS Desktop Manager software.

Check Printer appears on the C3000, C3500, C5000, C5500 or C635 The unit has a battery back-up for your fax's user settings (i. e. your unit's fax number , name, etc.). However, any faxes stored in memory will be lost. Once power is restored and the unit is able to print, a Memory Clear report will print.

In some cases it is required to restart the computer with the peripheral device (printer, scanner, etc.) already powered on. Note: If system trouble prevents restarting the PC, use the power switch to turn the PC off, wait a few moments and then use the power switch to turn the PC on again. If system trouble still prevents the restart of the PC, refer to the computer's manufacturer for further assistance .
