CMS-XML Scan When the 1688 Support Code Appears on the Printer – MAXIFY MB Series Printers
When one or more of the printer’s ink cartridges has been detected as being empty, the 1688 support code will appear on your printer. To scan when the printer is in that condition, you should either (1) replace each ink cartridge that the printer has detected as being empty and then close the printer’s cover, or (2) disable the function that detects the level of ink remaining in each such ink cartridge.

When one or more of the printer’s ink tanks has been identified as having reached the lower limit line on the ink tank, the 1643 support code will appear on your printer. To scan when the printer is in that condition, you should (1) add ink to each ink tank that has reached the lower limit line and then close the printer’s cover, or (2) press the Stop button on the printer, or (3) scan from an external device such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet.
