Description

This article explains how to print a nozzle check pattern from the PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II.

Solution

To print a nozzle check pattern / self test from the PIXMA Pro9000 Mark II, follow these steps.

  1. Make sure that the power is turned on, and load a sheet of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.

  2. Gently press the upper center of the Front Tray to open it, and pull out the Front Tray Extension. If the Inner Cover is open, close it.

  3. Hold down the RESUME/CANCEL button until the Power lamp flashes green twice, then release it immediately. The nozzle check pattern will be printed. Do not perform any other operations until the printer completes the printing of the nozzle check pattern.

After the nozzle check pattern has been printed, examine it.  Additional print head cleanings may be needed if nozzles are still clogged.
