CMS-XML The World's Color and Power Systems (voltages and power outlets)
CMS-XML Difficult subjects for autofocus.
Autofocus can fail to achieve focus (the focus confirmation light <> blinks) with certain subjects such as the following: Low-contrast subjects (blue sky, solid- color walls, etc.). Subjects in low light. Extremely backlit and reflective subjects (car with a reflective body, etc.).
CMS-XML Why does the computer show that my 1080i video was recorded at 1440x1080 instead of 1920x1080?
The CMOS sensor used in the HV10, HV20, and VIXIA HV30 are a 1/2.7 inch 2.96 megapixel sensor with true 1920 x 1080 HD sensing capability for 1080i HDV format video. 1080i HDV format video is an industry ratified MPEG2 video encoding standard with an interlaced resolution of 1440 horizontal anamorphic pixels by 1080 vertical pixels and uses a color sampling rate of 4:2:0 with a 25mbps data rate.

CMS-XML The HV10, HV20, and VIXIA HV30/HV40 each can record High Definition video at HDV 1080i or standard definition at NTSC compatible 480i
The HV10, HV20 and VIXIA HV30/HV40 each can record High Definition video at HDV 1080i (1440 x 1080 via IEEE-1394 or HDV tape) or standard definition NTSC compatible at 480i (720 X 480 pixels). 720P high definition mode is not supported. HD video is recorded using the industry standard HDV format which utilizes MPEG-2 Transport Stream (.m2t files) with 4:2:0 color sampling.
