For the purpose of helping to sanitize your Canon imageCLASS product, it is recommended that you clean parts touched with the hands such as control panels, covers and jam locations with isopropyl alcohol using the following precautions:
Cleaning the Scanner Components Disconnect the power cord from the machine. Use hands to gently open the operation panel (it only opens partially). While holding the operation panel open, clean these components:
Turn OFF the power switch, wait 10 seconds, and turn the power switch ON again. If the problem is not solved, turn OFF the power switch, disconnect the power cord, and contact your local authorized Canon dealer or the Canon help line.
