CMS-XML Using the internal extender on the EF 200-400mm f/4L IS USM Extender 1.4x
Internal Extender Switch When the lens or camera is in operation (during Auto Focus, Image Stabilization*, exposure, continuous shooting, use of the focus preset, power focus operation, etc.). ... Not doing so may result in an error message being displayed (ERR01) and prevent shooting operation. Turn the camera OFF and then ON to clear the error message . ... Not positioning the lever correctly will create shadown in images and cause AF, AE, and other functions to not work properly.
CMS-XML MP-E65mm f/2.8 1-5X Macro Photo: How to I adjust magnification and effective f-number
TTL autoexposure metering is possible from 1x to 5x. Select the desired picture -taking mode and check the shutter speed and aperture. ... Since other will be a slight exposure error using AE metering is not recommended.
CMS-XML Setting the exposure on the MP-E 65mm f/2.8 1-5x Macro Photo lens
Setting the Exposure with the EOS-1Ds Mark III, 1Ds Mark II, 1Ds, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark II N, 1D Mark II, 1D, 1, 1N/DP/HS, and 1V/HS TTL autoexposure metering is possible from 1x to 5x. Select the desired picture -taking mode and check the shutter speed and aperture. ... Since there will be a slight exposure error , using AE metering is not recommended.
CMS-XML Using the Image Stabilizer on the EF 600mm f/4L IS III USM lens
MODE 3 Shooting irregularly moving subjects Although image stabilization will operate when usinga tripod, depending on the kind of tripod and shooting conditions, sometimes it may be better to turn off the Image Stabilizer. Although image stabilization will operate when usinga a monopod, depending on the shooting conditions, sometimes the Image Stabilizer may not be fully effective. ... If the STABILIZER switch is set to ON, the Image Stabilizer may introduce errors .
CMS-XML What does the Stabilizer Mode switch on my Image Stabilized lens control?
If equiped, the Stabilizer Mode switch allows you to control how Image Stabilization is applied by the lens.
PDF CINEMA EOS LENSES
The optical designers spent a great deal of time using powerful computer simulation techniques to support a quest to maximize the cine zoom lens MTF according to the principles described. For the wide-angle CN-E14.5 –60mm T2.6 lens the final simulation showed that a quite tight control of lens MTF could be maintained from picture center to the limits of the Middle Zone. Further, this could also be tightly controlled over the full 4.1x zoom range of the lens.
PDF 4k LENS
Because the 4K image sensor can see four times more spatial detail than an HD image sensor it becomes imperative to more tightly control optical aberrations in a 4K cine lens –and most especially to curtail, to the degree possible, the lateral chromatic aberration. Achieving tighter control over the falloff in MTF across the image plane largely relied on a redesign that used large aperture aspherical lens elements and deployment of Fluorite and Hi-UD glass elements. Leveling the variations in MTF across the focal range was achieved by an innovative redesign of the variator and compensator groupings that constitute the zoom controlling elements. A significant redesign of the input floating focus system was a major contributor to tightening the control in MTF variations as the subject distance from the lens front varied.
