Clearing Jams In The Paper Output Tray Gently pull any jammed paper out of the paper output tray. If you cannot see any jammed paper in the paper output tray, remove it from the machine' s interior.

Disconnect other device and reboot computer
|
Other devices attached to the computer can block proper communication. Check to see if there are any devices (other than USB keyboards or mice) connected to the computer. Disconnect the device( s ) and restart the computer. Once the computer has restarted, attempt your process again.

Receiving faxes using DRPD (Distinctive Ring Pattern Detection)

Choose this mode if: telephone company. This service assigns two or more telephone numbers with distinctive ring patterns to a single telephone line, allowing you to have a fax number( s ) and a telephone number( s ) using only one telephone line. Your machine will automatically monitor incoming calls and based on the ring pattern, will let you know if the call is a fax or voice call.

Remove foreign object from paper feed area (MP390 / MP370 / MP360)

If [CLEAR PAPER JAM] is displayed, follow this procedure to remove paper or obstructions from the interior. Press <Open> to open the paper output tray (if not open already). Gently pull any jammed paper out of the paper output tray. If you cannot see any jammed paper in the paper output tray, remove it from the machine' s interior.

Receiving a fax manually MP390
|
When you receive a voice call: You can customize remote receiving by enabling/disabling it, or by changing the remote receiving ID. If you have an answering machine connected to your machine that can carry out remote-control operations (controlling your answering machine from a remote telephone), the security code for this function may be the same as the remote receiving ID. If so, make sure you change the machine' s remote receiving ID to make it distinct from the answering machine' s security code .

Scanning from an application MP360/370/390
|
You can scan an image from a TWAIN or WIA-compliant application and use the image in that application. Click 'Scan'. When scanning is completed, the scanned image will appear in the application' s display area.
