Raise the OPEN lever, and open the upper unit. Lower the securing lever for the feed roller forward. Slide the securing lever for the feed roller to the left.
Open the roller cover. Pull the left lever that secures the retard roller to the scanner, and remove the roller. Install the (new) retard roller by inserting the right side first.
When a request is made for repairs, the scanner needs to be sent to the specified address. When sending the scanner, use the packing box in which it came. Firmly secure the scanner with packaging material when you place it in the packing box.
